What are the signs and symptoms of Breast Cancer?
Do not panic if you discover changes to your breasts. The majority of these changes do not turn out to be due to cancer. Nonetheless, make an appointment to see your doctor should you be in doubt. Even if you have just had a mammogram with normal results, it is still important to have your doctor assess any changes.
Signs and symptoms of breast cancer may include the following:
- A persistent lump or thickening in the breast or armpit area
- Change in the size of shape of the breast
- Dimpling/puckering of the skin or pulling in of the nipple or other parts of the breast
- Sudden swelling, warmth, redness of the breast
- Persistent nipple rash on one side of the breast
- Sudden dark colored nipple discharge from one side of the breast
- Persistent discomfort in one spot of the breast that does not resolve
